What is Web Hosting?In order to establish your online identity with a Web site, you'll need the name and number of at least two computers (known as hosts or name servers), so your customers can find you on the Internet. Your domain name or Web Address is associated with these computers. BlastBuilder takes all the guesswork out of the process by handling the name servers and hosting. All you need to do is provide us with your domain name. We'll take care of the rest. We will even take care of the transfer of your domain name from your current hosting provider free of charge. How much will my hosting provider charge me to transfer my Web address (domain name) to use with my new Web site?Most hosting providers do not charge to transfer a Web address. BlastBuilder does not charge to transfer domain names or set up domain names for use within the BlastBuilder system. Any fees incurred during the transfer process will be from the current provider. What is a Web Address (domain name)?Practically speaking, your Web Address is the core of your Internet identity, your online brand. Technically, a Web Address is an addressing construct used for identifying and locating computers on the Internet. For example, the Web Address BlastBuilder.com represents BlastBuilder sites. When you type http://www.blastbuilder.com into a Web browser or send e-mail to contact@blastbuilder.com, the Domain Name System (DNS) translates blastbuilder.com into the IP numbers used by the Internet and connects you to BlastBuilder.com. Do I have to buy a new Web address or can I use one that I already have?You can either use an existing Web address that you control, or you can purchase (register) a new one. Either way, BlastBuilder makes it easy. Back to Top
I can't find a Web address that works for my Web site; lots of the names I've tried are taken. I don't have a Web address to transfer either. What should I do?Your Web site must have a Web address in order to be found on the Internet. If you are having trouble finding the right Web address you can use one of our generic ones until you find the one you want to use. Back to Top

Do I get e-mail with my Web site?Yes! You can choose to have e-mail forwarding capabilities. What this means is that you will have as many email addresses as you like in the following format: you@your_domain_name.com. You will then provide an e-mail account where you normally check your email. Perhaps you have an account with hotmail. When will I be billed?Your hosting fees will be billed at the first of every month. Other pricing options are billed as you choose them and are pro-rated based on the day of purchase. Back to Top
How do I renew my subscription?There is no need to renew. As long as your Web site is up and running your subscription will automatically renew. This way there is no chance that your Web site goes off the Internet in the event that you forget to renew. You can remove your Web site from the Internet at any time by contacting us directly. What is your Returns/Cancellations Policy?You may cancel at any time. Cancellations become effective at the end of a month. Back to Top
How do I cancel my Web site subscription?Since there are no contracts, just stop paying. Since all domain names that you have provided are still under your control (i.e. you only updated DNS) you can change that at any time. Back to Top
If I cancel my subscription, can I keep my Web address?No matter what you do your Web address is yours to keep. PM Technologies never takes ownership of your Web address. If you leave PM Technologies for any reason, you can take your Web address with you. Back to Top
